Family acceptance is a crucial and protective factor for adolescents and young adults in queer communities. This practice has not been widely accepted yet. Despite this, there are a small number of parents who acknowledge their child's sexual and gender identity and do their utmost to decrease risk and promote healthy outcomes for queer children.
