The 70s was considered a golden era in the Nepali music industry and were incredibly diverse, both in sound and content. Over time, we witnessed the finest musician/influential Saxophone player's birth, Shubha Bahadur Sunam(Retd Brigdiar General - Nepal Army), whose music and songs have inspired, influenced and enchanted generations of music lovers. His continued dedication, devotion and contribution have helped the Nepali music industry grow, mature and prosper.
He recorded his first composition when he was merely 20. For the last 50 plus years, Subha Bahadur has served the Nepali music industry wearing multiple hats. He had teamed up with renowned composer Shambhujeet Baskota to compose Nepali films' songs, calling themselves "Subha-Sambhu". Subha-Sambhu's first notable hit was 'Ko Ho Tyo, Jasley Malai' from the movie 'Ke Ghar, Ke Der. He has also composed music for several TV series and films. For his devotion and contribution to Nepali music, he has been honoured with Su Prabal Gorkha Dakshin Bahu and Chinnalata Puraskar. Radio Nepal has also awarded him a gold medal for his contributions to the overall development of Nepali music. live at
