Prakash Saput (Singer / Songwriter) is one of the famous singers of Nepal, who is known for representing the ongoing trends of rural Nepal through his songs. He mainly works on folk and classic songs. He is the one to initiate Lok dohori battles in the Nepali music industry. He is best known for his popular songs; Bola Maya” (2018), “Dohori Battle” (2018), “Galbandi” (2019), “Dohori Battle 2” (2019), “Badala Bari Lai” (2020). He has far recorded close to 25 folk songs, and been featured in more than 200 music videos. The first song he recorded in the dual tournament in Kathmandu was “Musushumu Nahasa” in 2069 B.S. His recent song “Badala Bari lai” won millions of heart. Through his song, he managed to evoke an emotion and has brought the public's attention to the pervasiveness of rape, sexual assault, and violence against the women in our society. Hearing such stories in a song is a powerful way to remind those who have been isolated physically and emotionally that there are people out there who can relate to and care about them.
