On May 23, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari promulgated Nepal Citizenship (first amendment) Ordinance 2021. The heated debate on the ordinance has slowed down. So it's time for our cold takes on Nepal's latest citizenship law, featuring journalist Shova Sharma. She is a reporter at Setopati. She covers politics and parliament and has written extensively on citizenship laws. Ujjwala Maharjan is a poet and educator from Kathmandu, Nepal. She is one of the co-founders of Word Warriors, a poetry group leading the spoken word movement in Nepal since its inception in 2010. Yukta Bajracharya (she/her) is a poet, educator and co-founder of Word Warriors, a spoken word poetry collective in Nepal, founded in 2010.
