For 30 years now, Dr. Bidya Ranjit has been associated with the University of Connecticut. Dr. Ranjit finished her masters and PHD in the university, and rose up the ladders of administration, now serving as an Executive Director for the university. In this episode, Dr. Ranjit shares her journey to the US, which began in the 80s, when Nepalis were few and far between. We also hear many interesting tid-bits of Nepali history, including stories of her mother who was a self-taught nurse, and her grandfather who sang ragas in the court of Ex-Primeminister of Nepal, Chandra Sumsher JBR.
