For our eleventh episode, TGND Beats presents Deepa Dahal. Deepa was born in Kathmandu and enjoyed a happy childhood with her large extended family in Nepal. When she was ten, her parents moved to the United States to pursue their academic careers and she moved with them, spending the next few years of her life in Moscow, Idaho. Deepa went on to earn a Business degree from the University of Idaho and then pursued her MBA at the University of New Hampshire.
After completing her education, Deepa moved to New York City to begin her career in management consulting, specializing in the healthcare industry. She spent a decade working in this field before taking a career break to travel extensively throughout Latin America. Along the way, she studied Spanish, danced, and soaked up the local culture. Later, she began working as a freelancer and exploring the digital nomad lifestyle, spending months in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and back in Nepal. When a good friend and colleague approached her about starting a company together, Deepa moved back to the United States and co-founded DKI Health, a life sciences consulting firm based in New York City. Today, she lives in Seattle and continues to oversee the company's consulting practice, which has grown into an exciting and rewarding professional venture.
